We’re getting there

October 25, 2010

This morning when Mary Poppins arrived Lady G beamed with delight, and while Miss N burst into tears when her Mum left, my Bee was too fascinated with the maracas and harmonicas that Mary had brought with her to notice me leaving.  That makes me very happy – clearly they’ve formed a connection and it makes me feel less guilty about enjoying going to work.  Hopefully it will lessen her separation anxiety which has seen her cling koala-like to me at every opportunity – or perhaps that’s simply an age stage she’s going through?

She’s also inches away from actually walking, which is pretty cool.  She can already take 3-4 steps unsupported, but longer distances are beyond her just yet.  She does enjoy walking laps of the lounge room with her funky retro Ikea toddle walker, and giggles and crows and generally thinks she’s the bee’s knees for being so clever.

And in a couple of weeks she’s going to be 1!  Where did the time go…
